Originally launched in September 2023, the Signia Pure Charge&Go IX family has been Signia’s flagship hearing aid line for a year and a half. Now, as of February 2025, it’s getting a significant update with the introduction of the BCT model—a new model that enhances the existing platform rather than replacing it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this hearing aid be paired directly to my Bluetooth TV?
No. Streaming audio from the TV requires the StreamLine TV accessory.
Does this hearing aid allow for hands-free phone calls?
The newer model, Pure Charge&Go IX RIC BCT, released February 2025 allows for hands free calling from all mobile devices. The older (non-BCT model), does allow for hands-free phone calls but only via the StreamLine Mic accessory. With that model, when talking on the phone, you'll hear the caller through the hearing aids, but in order for them to hear you (and for you to use the phone truly hands-free), you'd need to use the StreamLine Mic accessory, which has a microphone on it that will pack up your voice so the caller can hear you.
Is this hearing aid Bluetooth compatible?
If you're interested in Bluetooth compatibility, we would definitely recommend buying the newest model that came out in February of 2025, called Pure Charge&Go IX RIC BCT. This model uses the Bluetooth Classic protocol and that means it has universal Bluetooth connectivity to all your Bluetooth devices from phones, tablets, pcs and more. The older Pure Charge&Go IX (non-BCT) hearing aids offer direct Bluetooth streaming with iOS devices, and select ASHA-compatible Android devices (most newer Android devices). If you don't have an iOS or ASHA-compatible Android device, you can still stream audio to your hearing aids, but it requires buying the StreamLine Mic accessory, which creates a Bluetooth connection between your hearing aids and phone. In addition, Pure Charge&Go IX hearing aids are ready for the future Bluetooth LE Audio standard and Auracast™.
What is the lifespan of the rechargeable batteries?
Signia expects the battery to last 3-4 years, at which point the hearing aid will need to be sent to them to get a new battery. We expect most providers will chage $150-$250 per device for this service.
Does the charger include a dehumidifier?
The standard charger that comes with all orders does not. If you live in a humid environment or are concerned about moisture, you may want to buy the Pure Dry&Clean Charger which offers UVC cleaning and drying.
How many hours a day do the batteries last?
The Li-ion power cell of Pure Charge&Go IX RIC delivers up to 24 hours of use on a single charge, including 5 hours of streaming. The slightly larger Pure Charge&GO IX RIC T model offers up to 36 hours of use on a single charge, including 5 hours of streaming, as does the newest model released February 2025, Pure Charge&Go IX RIC BCT.
How will I know when my battery needs to be charged?
When your battery is low, you'll hear a melodic descending tone, which will repeat every 15 minutes until the battery dies.
What if I'm on-the-go and my battery dies?
If you are concerned about this, we recommend upgrading to the Pure Portable Charger. This charger features a built-in lithium-ion battery which can store 3 full charges, so in the event you don't have access to electricity, you can still charge your hearing aids by pulling the reserve battery from the case.
