Released on July 8, 2020, MOMENT is Widex's flagship line of hearing aids, available in all styles, and for all hearing losses. MOMENT is most well-known for having the fastest processing time on the market. The result? A more natural, real time sound quality, with less echo. According to Widex, “Now you can hear every moment like you used to.” That may be a little optimistic, but MOMENT may be just the hearing aid to get you to the warm, balanced, natural hearing you remember.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this hearing aid Bluetooth compatible?
The SmartRIC, sRIC R D, RIC 312 D, BTE R D, and BTE 13 D models are all Made for iPhone, which means they can connect directly with iPhones to stream music, phone calls, and more. These models are also compatible with the new Android protocol, Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA), allowing direct streaming from select Android devices with Android 10 and Bluetooth 5.0. If your phone isn't directly compatible with MOMENT, or if you're getting the RIC 10 model or one of the custom in-the-ear Moment models, you can still get Bluetooth functionality via the COM-DEX streaming accessory.
Does this hearing aid allow for hands-free phone calls?
Yes, but only via the COM-DEX or Sound Assist accessory. You'll be able to hear the callers voice streaming through the hearing aids, and the caller will hear your voice via the microphone on the COM-DEX or Sound Assist device, which should be worn around your neck so the microphone is in close proximity to your mouth.
Can this hearing aid be paired directly to my Bluetooth TV?
No. To stream audio from the TV you'll need the TV-DEX device.
How many hours a day do the batteries last?
The Moment sRIC and BTE R D models last around 16 hours a day with a few hours of streaming. With no streaming, they should last around 20 hours. The SmartRIC model lasts 37 hours without Bluetooth streaming and up to 27 hours with 8 hours of Bluetooth streaming.
What if I'm on-the-go and my battery dies?
The newest model from Widex (SmartRIC), is compatible with a portable charger, which will allow you to charge the hearing aids on the go.  Unfortunately Widex doesn't make a mobile power pack or travel charger for any of their other models, but they do have a recommendation. If you buy a mobile power bank, like the kind used for cell phones, you can plug your Widex into that and draw power from it. Widex recommends the following powerbanks, which can be found on Amazon: ZMI PowerPack 10000mAh, Anker PowerCore 10000mAh, Anker PowerCore 20100mAh.
How long does it take to get a full charge?
A full charge takes 4 hrs, and that'll get you 16-24 hours of battery life. A 30 minute quick charger will get you 4 hours of battery life.
What is the lifespan of the rechargeable batteries?
The battery should last about 1500 charges. That means if you charge it every day, just over 4 hrs. When the battery dies, your hearing provider will have to ship the hearing aid to Widex for a battery replacement. We expect local providers to charge between $150-$250 for this.
How will I know when my battery needs to be charged?
Depending on how your hearing provider has setup the hearing aid, a few hours before the battery dies you'll hear a spoken notification that says "battery low," or a tone. Then, a few minutes ebfore the battery dies, you'll hear the same notification again, reminding you that you need to charge your hearing aids.
